Getting Employed

Bredin offers employment training and services to unemployed and underemployed Canadians, as well as to newcomers settling in Canada. Bredin offers various programs and resources to meet your needs. Our Employment Centre provides group and one-on-one training to help you identify career opportunities, prepare for interviews, and build your resume. When you reach your goal of employment, we stay connected to provide one-on-one coaching and support through some of the challenges you may face in a new role, helping to ensure success and stability.

Career Planning

Having difficulty navigating through a multitude of possible careers? Are you unemployed or underemployed? If you have a desire to build a career that is right for you, we can help. Bredin offers career and employment programs for our clients, as well as access to Job and Career Fairs to that provide networking opportunities and connect you with employers who are looking to hire. One of our career coaches will meet with you to develop a step by step plan that will help you become more competitive and marketable in an industry suited to you. Funded by the federal and provincial governments, most of our programs are provided at no cost to clients.

Career Laddering

Here at Bredin, we provide you with the resources and tools you need to move beyond entry level positions once you are employed. Developing knowledge, skills and training on upward mobility helps you on your path to a solid career future. We want to help you become a strong competitor, a candidate for raises, promotions and greater influence as you mature within your field. We strive to support you not only in finding employment, but to maintain work and excel within your chosen field.

Alternative Careers

Newcomers to Canada come from a variety of educational backgrounds. If you have a foreign education, you may be eligible to receive support from our Centre for Skilled and Internationally Trained Professionals.

Our Centre for Skilled and Internationally Trained Professionals career coaches will help you find a job in your field of expertise. Alternative career paths are just one of the many services available to those with foreign education. Please refer to our Programs Page.
