Nazz Baksh is a seasoned financial professional with over 20 years of experience in diverse industries, including asset management, real estate, insurance, and non-profit organizations.
As Director of Financial Services at the Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP), Nazz leads a dynamic team in driving organizational sustainability through strategic financial management, risk oversight, and innovative policy implementation.
In addition to his professional experiences, Nazz has contributed back to his profession in various capacities, from serving on the Edmonton CMA Chapter to a National Marker for the professional program to now serving as Vice-chair for the CPA Alberta Discipline Tribunal, where he focuses on professional discipline matters. His tenure in this role has reinforced his commitment to ethics and accountability, values he brings to every organization he serves.
A lifelong learner, Nazz sees the value of Bredin’s commitment to empowering individuals through education and skills development. With a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education and inclusivity, he is dedicated to creating meaningful impact in the communities he serves. His personal experiences as a first-generation Canadian of Indo-Caribbean heritage and a parent in the LGBTQ2S+ community enriches his perspective and strengthens his advocacy for diversity and belonging.
In his spare time, Nazz enjoys cycling, exploring culinary creativity, and spending time with his family and his Rhodesian Retriever, a rescue from the 2023 wildfires. Nazz joined the Bredin Board in January 2025.
